  • A white vintage Ibanez has followed me home

This old Japanese girl became mine today when I encountered her in a shop just out of town, the last owner did quite a bit of work on her as you can tell.

The pickup selector is not connected and the three three way switches make for a very versatile guitar

The back shows that this non trem strat used to have a trem but the cavity is filled up with a large chunck of wood.

Vintage Ibanez logo, no serial number which according to my Ibanez registration book makes this a very early one, at least a 1972 made guitar.

You're an Ibanez fan I take it. Well then here's what i owned so far made by Ibanez.

Artcore semi single cutaway, thin body, Bigsby, cool guitar I still regret selling it.

Two GRG models with TRS bridges, Piece of shit guitars.

1986 RG450, old Roadstar bodystyle, one of the first to be equipped with the Edge trem, cool guitar, wish i still had it.

Eighties Ibanez Blazer (forgot which model) my first decent guitar, now owned by a friend of mine, I named myself after that guitar.

Ibanez Concord twelve string acoustic, a long lasting favorite of mine.

1986 Roadstar bass RB650 fretless, for some reason I never bonded with this one.

1981 Artist AR200, natural. Lovely guitar but weighed a fucking ton, twice as much as my Les Paul, I have fond memories of that guitar but not in my spinal area.

Recent Ibanez mandolin, nothing special, a budget Mandolin which does what I bought it for.

        and last but not least

        My 1984 Roadstar RS225CB.
I use this one as one of my stage guitars with Slavantas, an old Warrior that has never let me down.

I have an import strat copy that shows some similarities to your Ibanez: Both the glue line on the headstock, and the narrower than usual neck plate. Mine also says "Made In Japan" on it. However, mine does not have a truss rod cover plate, and the stock tuners were different. Mine has a bullet truss rod nut. It was given to me by my brother-in-law, and his father bought it for him, used, along with a silverface Champ. I've since modded the guitar quite a bit, and the amp is long gone, but have never been able to actually confirm what the guitar was.
              I'm not Ron!

Those mini toggles look like they would seriously get in the way! Holy crap!
A little TLC and you'll have a nice and dare I say Vintage guitar!
I really like the bridge on that, do you know what kind it is?
                'Howling in shadows
                Living in a lunar spell
                He finds his heaven
Spewing from the mouth of hell'
