Anyone tired one yet? The local GC said they could order one, but I would more or less be committed to it. It all looks nice, but I wonder where it is made and how the fit/finish is. Not sure I'm ready to spend to $1,000 on a Korean guitar when I could buy or build one of Japanese or American parts for the same price.

i have never played or even seen one, but i wouldn't be worried about the price for a korean guitar. i paid a lot more for my brian moore korean guitar and it is AWESOME in every way. i liked it more than my USA brian moore C55P - so i sold the USA and kept the korean - go figure!!
    GEAR:

some guitars...WITH STRINGS!!!! most of them have those sticks like on guitar hero....AWESOME!!!!

some amps...they have some glowing bottle like things in them...i think my amps do that modelling thing....COOL, huh?!?!?!

    and finally....

i have those little plastic "chips" used to hit the strings...WHOA!!!!

Laguna used to be Brawley guitars that were pretty much only sold through Mars Music a few years back. Keith Brawley who used to work for Fender is the Owner of the company. I don't really know much about the guitars but I did play a Brawley about 6 years ago and I remember that it played well.
Don't forget the corn. It's nutritious, delicious, and ribbed for her pleasure.

They have an ad with Greg for that guitar in the latest issue of Guitar Player, the one with Carlos Santana on the cover. They don't show the ugly headstock, though.

              True enough.
Nowadays Keith Brawley's designs are the GC/MF housebrand.
I'm actually interested in the LE322 models. Seem like a cool mod platform.

Looks very cool, but that headstock is a definite deal breaker.
                Damn it's ugly!

I remember seeing Greg in a Suhr ad not to long ago if I remember correctly.
These guys just hope from one company to another so easily.

Yeah. That headstock kills the guitar for me. It's probably tough to come up with a good looking new headstock shape that won't provoke a lawsuit but damn.

The headstock doesn't really bother me to be honest in maple. It stands out too much in black. I was thinking I could also retrofit a Jackson PC-1 neck, but it appears (based on the pictures) to have a Musicman or Ibanez AANJ style joint, which would kind of suck

I've seen those in a couple LA area Guitar Centers... Didn't look too closely though. I wouldn't be surpised if your local GC eventually gets one in.

Throw a piece of metal in that headstock and use it as a bottle opener.
                        It's all good to me.
