BillZ...you have a great soul, you can't get past me!
    (I'm intuitive).

Tool is one reason I HAD to get a bass guitar.
Not afraid to use keys, tasteful, sick, and rawks!

    I hear a Rush influence...the eastern Indian thing...something.
I never really thought about that before.

      That color is awesome.
I would love to see that with a Firebird type pickguard.

I should know by Friday if the deal goes through on the 81 and I will post pics of my Les Paul.

          Flip (Speed) Tuners?

I had them on a maple topped/maple FB custom.
          Nice!

            I'd love to see that.

Might also be a re-necked body. When a customer sends in a body with a broken neck, they just take a neck (already S/N stamped) and match it up to the body.

Don, I thought they quit the 3 piece maple neck in 81 on the customs?
Its a complete catastrophe. But Im a professional, I can rise above it. LOL

Could be. That might be one statistic I haven't memorized.

But to whomever is looking for a Les Paul in these years, I highly recommend getting the three piece maple neck. Mine is dead straight and I don't think the truss rod has been touched since it was first made.

Well, I dont know either, haha. my 90 custom plus has a mahogany neck obviously.

Agreed on the maple neck, tho. my 78 standard has the original frets and truss rod has never been touched- still plays great.

I won it at the last second someone placed a bid so I had to snipe him and it cost me a 100 bucks but I got it. No discoloration under the pickguard either.

I have not seen one in that nice of condition ever. I have seen alot of nice ones but they had some belt buckle rash or a ding or a crack but this one went cheaper than alot of others that were on Ebay recently in worse condition.

What sold me was the finish is perfect under the pickguard. I am worried that it looks too good and is a refinish.
