here is a picture i found on my band's myspace. i hadn't seen it before, nor did i even know it was taken!!! almost all my guitars are up in my rehearsal space, which is 90 minutes north of where i live. i guess my singer was taking pictures again. she LOVES to be in pictures. it makes photo sessions hard, because she likes to have pictures of her taken a lot!!! hahahahaha....anyway, i don't think she looks so good in this one, but my RG550 looks pretty awesome!!

hahahaha, cool!!! that is an original road flare red. it looks orange in this pic, sometimes it looks hot pink....i love this guitar. it quickly reminding what i used to love about ibanez guitars...

After I posted and took a second look it appeared to be RFR. But as you said they can fade and my pc monitor doenst have the greatest resolution either.

What year is that? '87?

That one picture with the black pickups, was that how it looked originally?
What did you put into your trem cavity?
Those green pups threw me off for a second...
I'm a lefty so I'll never have an original, but I'm planning on buying an RG1570 and making the conversion sometime.

haha..yeah. with the blk pickups is how it originally came. too boring!! the trem cavity is filled with blue craft foam from walmart. i cut it to size and glued into the recess. it cost $0.35 and looks awesome!!!!

I have done that trem cavity trick before. I saw it on projectguitar.com a while ago.
I will certainly have fun with mine thats for sure. It will be a deep void in my life being filled...
It will probably be the mirror image of yours.
The only problem that I might have is finding a Lefty Ibanez Maple neck. Although a reverse headstock would look neat as well.

I dig the live pics and action shots that members post- they're always really cool. The first thing I always tell the front man in any of my bands is- lose the mikestand or you might lose a couple of teeth. Grab the mike and wrap the cord around your hand and keep your eye on the pit and watch out for flying objects.

I've got one in Jewel Blue and another in Desert Yellow, mine are both 1987's as well.
