Super strat shape. It's for sale locally for 175. Looks like a pretty sweet shredder but I want some opinions from the experts. The only thing I'm not sure about is the purple color. But if it's a nice shredder, I'll get over it.
aaaaaaah i meant Rich. That's the third time I've done that today.

If it's a USA ST-III, go for it. Great guitars.

Ok cool. I just contacted the seller. Do you guys know where I could find a catalog scan of this bad boy?

I could never find any good info on BC Rich guitars. There are a few guys here that know them inside out but most sites that I could find to ask questions were full of assholes, fanbois, and little kids praising their kewl bronze warlocks and such. I think the rich forum is gone anyway.

ok it's an STIII. Doubt it's a USA because it's 175 bucks. If the Charvel Model 1 I'm looking at doesn't work out I'll probably snag this as a collectors item. Pic

Not an STIII. Platinum Series pre class axe import strat, looks like. I had one in red when I first started playing. I still have the body around somewhere with dowels in the trem holes. That trem is total garbage, and the spacing fits nothing. I'd skip it, unless it's 50 bucks....
I payed 10 bucks for mine way back....

+1 on that trem being junk.

Those bridges weren't very good at all. My cousin has a B.C.Rich Warlock Platinum with that same bridge on it, and he has nothing but problems, yet he's too lazy to change it...
I agree with Burn, and try to get it cheaper or pas it up.
Not even sure if those were solid wood or not. If so, then snag it up and do some hardware upgrading and you'd have a decent guitar for the $$.
I always liked the old BCRich Gunslingers, and Ironbirds alot.

I still got a red platinum just like that (only because it is a sentimental heirloom and no one will buy the fckr from me). As everyone states, trem is garbage, neck is okay if you sand all the paint off and oil it. Other than that, a POS electronics, body is super heavy and it is korean built too.

If it had been a ST NJ series( only the kahlered ones were made in Japan, the rest were made in Korea at the Cort factory) those are nice too. I would pay up to $175 for those but anything else is firewood.

as much as I love BC Rich, I wouldn't recommend anyone getting a platinum or bronze series anything .. talk about giving yourself a bad name
