Been jonesing for a Tele for a few months, and this is what I ended up with:
Fender Custom Classic Tele
Has some unique features, like chrome plated brass bridge saddles, standard Tele bridge pickup, Twisted Tele neck pickup, 4 position switch, and reversed controls with volume up front.
Came with the nice Custom Shop case as well. I'l admit it, I'm a case guy. I think if you buy a high-end guitar, it should come with a high-end case as well.
Plays really well. It's a completely different style guitar compared to what I normally play, but I've been trying to diversify my guitar collection to cover a wider variety of tonality and music styles.
I've been partial to maple necks as of late, but this one was at my main store I shop at, and they cut me a good deal on it.
