    Well,
I received the Bule Rand today at work and I was very excited like an 8 year old on Christmas day. When I pulled it out of the shiping box it was also in the factory case. No shipping damage found thank God. I noticed a bit of crud and rust on the hardware that I will take care of this weekend. Here are some quick picks but I will also Take some more picks this weekend as the color cannot be captured well at night. The finish is even better in person than on the pics posted.
    Rupe,
I cannot agree with you more about the playing comfort and feel of the Rand. It will take a while to get used to the smaller fret wire but this guitar playes better than anything else I have ever played. I can't wait to plug the Rand in and see what it sounds like but I think I may have found my new #1 guitar. I am also considering selling some of my other guitars and starting collecting them like you do. As you cant just have one.
    Oh and one last thing.

Why did Viv stop playing Rands?

Nice! I've seen a couple of blue ones, but I believe this is the first "fade" graphic one that I've seen (as opposed to Rand "stripes").

It had been rumored for quite some time that Rand never painted two of them he same, but this myth has since been debunked (unless "the same" meant the exact same pattern):

            Ahh the twins.
I was refering to the blue fade. I found another Blue fade on another forum but It may have been another pic of this one as the color changes with the lighting.
I agree have not found a Rand so far that had the same pattern of fade or Rand stripes. The man shure loved to airbrush.
