Wow, those are some nice advances to the Les Paul. You have a great collection, too. I'd be very interested to hear your comparisons between the PC1 and the Suhr.

The Suhr and PC1 are very different guitars.

Phil Collen always said he liked the feel of a Les Paul so the PC1 stock has a really big "D" shaped neck. Since I ordered mine custom I was able to get a smaller beck but the profile is still bigger than the Suhr's. The PC1 also has 24 frets. In addition it has the Sustainer and Feedback features.
The guitars also sound way different. The PC1 loaded with Dimarzio's has a much bigger low end. In fact my Bass and Mids are almost to zero when I play it through my OD-100.

The Suhr is like butter! It has a small "C" shaped neck and the Suhr pick ups are a lot more neutral. They give me a very nice well rounded sound with enough output to play 80's metal.

I would definitely pick the Suhr over the PC1 if I had to choose.

That being said ... its all personnel preference and some people may prefer the Dimarzios and the thicker neck.

Deflep, I've got a question about the floyd on these that I'm hoping you can help clear up. Are the top rear edges of the saddles on yours beveled, like the one on the left or are they squared off, like the one on the right?

        Thanks!

Thanks! Much appreciated, and I'm glad to see that. Someone elsewhere was saying they thought there was an import trem on the one they tried out (beveled saddles), and that had my head spinning considering the price. Gorgeous guitar and nice playing, too!

I'm a big Les Paul fan and have always wanted a Les Paul with a floyd. Someday I may be able to afford one of these! If only Epiphone made the Les Pauls with floyds! (In the Standard/Classic/Custom size..I don't particiarly care about the white lp studios with the floyd that they brang out a while back)
