Jekyll Archtop.
Custom Designed Headstock - I sent in the shape to him.
I lowered the strings a bit when I got it. I always mess with string heigth on new guitars cause I like
em pretty low. The guitar lost no tone or resonance when I lowered them which suprised me.
Notes are easy to grab. Some guitars your fingers slip around a bit.
Nice neck. Very nice. I chose the right thickness .87" at 12th fret. Will take me a bit to get use to Ebony cause I play all maple boards.
1-11/16" Nut.
Notice the unencumbered neck heel. It is very cool the way he did it.
Very resonant guitar. Lighter than I expected too which is a bonus. Loudest electric I have acoustically.
Well balanced sound too. Good depth of sound and sustain on the lower strings when doing riffs.
I have not plugged it in yet! I always play with the new ones unplugged to see what the acoustical
properties are like - I can get harmonics out of this one unplugged like nobodies business.
So far so good. Now I have to check it out plugged in tonight.
Pics attached. I took them this morning in not so good of light. Sun had not come out yet.
I really want to get some pics with the sun shining but this is better than nothing for now.
This thing is absoutely stunning in person. You can't tell from my crappy pics.
It's true. Rico Jr. makes great guitars.
Sorry about the crappy pics - no light this morning.
