A great one to have if ya are gonna only have one. Mine originally had a white pickguard too.

Sully, I love that Firebird bro! That is a very unique finish and a very cool tribute to Robbin. Good job on that one man!
thanks! it wasn't intended to come out that way. i wasn't sure what color to paint it. i decided to paint it white, and when i was color sanding, i went through to the grey primer. i thought it was kinda neat, and then i saw robbin's case stencil, and since it seemed to fit nicely, i went with that.
Sweet guitars Sully. How's that Les Paul doing? Is it finished up? It would be neat to see some pics of the finished product.
not done yet; the clear is curing. i decided that i'm going to scrape the back of the neck and gunstock oil it. i'm also contemplating a vintage pinup decal behind the stop tail, but we'll see. i've got a bit of touchups to do on the back of the headstock, and then i can get to buffing it. then i gotta get parts for it. no real rush. thanks for checkin' in, though!

Cool story along with that. Sometimes shit happens unexpectedly like that, which leads to a different and nicer design than initially intended.
That is very tastefully done my man! I really really like that. Matter of fact I wouldn't mind building one for myself one day. And I'm not one for really "ripping" someones design, but to me it looks like a limited custom type run, and I'd like to have one.
Very unique and very nice! Robbin would be proud of that one bro!
Thanks for sharing that.
Also, cant wait to see more of that Les Paul as you progress with it.

For some reason I never seem to hold on to my white guitars (and I love white guitars) I wish I still had all 3 of these.
