  • New Gunslingers

Has anyone played these yet? Im curious about the necks. Are they like the dk2m's neck? The radius is 14 to 16 on the dk2m and i like the flat feel. My dk1 is 12 to 16 and i like the flatter feel of the 14 better. Are these necks close to a Jacksons feel? I was going to go rg550 as a backup but these gunslingers look more interesting. Thanks guys .

I have the yellow retro and the neck is quite slim. I haven't played a DK2M in quite a while but I'd say it's very similar from what I remember. Flat and fast. Plus it's got a Dimarzio pup and an OFR in the bridge. What's not to love?

Even though I have the yellow, I'd probably suggest trying the red first, since it has a neck pup for a little more versatility. But I really dig the yellow one.

I like both of them as well Bryan. It's one of the few "retro" or "re-issue" guitars out lately that I do like.

You know if they are Alder or Basswood bodies?

I have the red one, and the neck is very flat, and very comfortable, I also have a Jackson DKMG and I prefer the neck on the Gunslinger, it's not compound radius like the Jackson, upper fret access is also very good.
The neck itself is a similar thickness on both guitars, bearing in mind that my Jackson is 6 years old, and tolerances change- the Gunslinger neck is not as thin as an Ibanez neck, which for my taste is a good thing.
The new Gunslingers are a great deal, where else are you going to find a guitar with DiMarzios and an OFR for the price. Hopefully BC Rich will put the old style Assassin back out in the future.
