Ah, never knew it was a Gibby shape. I assumed it was a Dean 'original', following their recipe of taking two Gibson shapes and making one guitar out of them (ML, Caddy...) Personally, I think that shape should have been left in the vault.

I dunno, that thing is so ugly I kind of like it. If the jack was on the side instead of the face of the guitar I would almost be tempted into looking into one of those... well not real tempted, but just for the 'what the hell are you playing' factor.

I like this shape actually.
Looks like it has a deeper waist than the current one.

I'd have probably asked for the open book headstock and split parallelogram inlays though.
