Willie Adler from Lamb of God played one of those at one point. I prefer the Alpha, too.

No. It`s Gordon Freeman from those Half Life games.

        However...

The connection`s been made many times that the two look alike and this picture I found agrees.

Design is very personal but criticism about one's design should never be taken personally.

I'll go out on a limb and say that most folks around here tend to like traditional shapes and Jackson body shapes. What you posted is as the extreme end of what anyone would like here so you're unlikely to get any useful feedback.

For me, it's so radical that I really can't give any useful feedback. Sorry.

This reminds me of the Pablo cutout Jacksons. You may find a few people who will actualy want one but most people dont care for that cutout non ergonomic stuff.

Those would suck to play sitting down.

Now those are some designs that are good. I think I rank them the same as you: Alpha, Omega, Lambda. I could definitely see Moser or BCR selling those shapes.

I dig the Corvette! The Viper is also neat, reminds me a little of the '80s Washburn HM-5v.

I think for the barbed wire inlay it would be cooler to have it look like barbed wire was going up the neck, like how the vine thing looks on the JEM.

The Corvette is a bit classier looking, and would have a much broader appeal.

The Viper would definitely be popular among the "extreme metal" crowd.

Sorry, but I don't like any of them, I've seen. Each and every one of them can easily be compared to something already done. the Draco comparison was dead on. first thing that came into mind. the rest of them are basically designs that have been out on the market for quite some time, with a few notches, strategically placed. I read the 14 year old comment, and I agree. Some of these designs are just too busy-looking, and impractical, which is what a 14 year old would typically do. Now, am I CALLING YOU a 14 year old? No. Neither was the originator of the comment. He just said "it looks like", and I have to agree with him. Good luck with your designs, though, and keep plugging away on them.

That being said, almost all designs are spins on current designs.
The viper has quite a bit of warlock in there though.

I just don't like those cutouts. I'm fat, so either the designs pinch my thigh while sitting or my moobs while standing.

They just ain't comfortable for fatties like me.

How about you soften the moob cutout so they support, lift, and separate?
