  • What Dimarzio PUP?

I was digging around in a old parts box I have and found a Dimarzio, for the life of me I have no Idea what it is, on the back it has a sticker that reads "Patent Applied For" a "F" stamped into the plate and the number is J103. Any Help would be appreciated

That should be an F-spaced PAF. I've never heard of a J103, but the DP103 was the model number of the PAF.

If you go to Dimarzio's website, you can email them a description, and they'll tell you what the pickup is. I just did this yesterday for an old pickup out of my Gunslinger that didn't have a model #. They responded within a couple hours.

I e-mailed them...This is my answer from them.

"It is an OEM model made for Jackson Guitars. Its performance is similar to an F-spaced Air Classic neck model (DP190F)."

Interesting. I guess that would explain the J.
