That's a sweet old Horizon! I have an '80s Mirage Custom neckthru that will give any Soloist a run for it's money. The Floyd is definitely a replacement, since ESP used its own licensed Floyd on everything back then. They're supposedly not bad trems, but forget about getting replacement parts for them. The stud spacing fits OFRs, so I think that's what most people do. That guitar looks like it's in great shape.

I've played some NICE ESPs... I actually prefer their less angular pointy to the Jackson one for some guitars.
I only have Jacksons and Charvels for my main players. I do own my orphan 76 Gibson SG and USA BC Rich. But, I'd MOST definitely own an ESP if the one I wanted came along for appropriate dinero.

When I got this guitar it had a regular spaced Screamin Demon in the bridge and some sort of strat single coil in the neck. The first control pot wasn't hooked up, just the second volume and the last tone. The wiring wasn't horrible, but it wasn't a pro job either. I have a TB Demon in another guitar, so I didn't need two guitars with the same pickup.
I decided to put a double black Custom Custom into the bridge.
I wired the first volume to the neck pickup, the second volume for the bridge, and the third a push/pull tone to split the bridge.
When the pickup selector is in the middle position and the bridge is split, the two single coil pickups buck the hum
It sounds pretty cool, but I'm still getting used to it. I'm mostly an A5 or Ceramic Bridge guy. The A2 is bright and creamy. I have to fight off the urge to stick in a different magnet.
I've found that it works very well doing Maiden. It nails Ides of March in the middle humbucking position and the bridge humbucking position.
Does a great Smoke On the Water in the single coil bridge position.
The neck humbucker is very flutey.
