.and then amplification. The 78 JMP 50W (2nd one down) I'm actually going to sell. 1992 or 93 HR50 Solando on the right. 20 years of project crap on the left. 2nd photo has my carvin but the middle guitar is my very first (1977) from the Sears Christmas Catalog $34.99 and I still have the matching 5W $34.99 amp. LOL. Wish I'd kept some other stuff instead but oh well. The Wayne is on the right.

Very cool collection.
What's the story with the natural Strat lying on the floor in the first shot? It's the one with the locking trem, three single coils, and the large '70's-style headstock.Takeoffs are optional but landings are mandatory.

That's a 74 Fender body and neck. My first good guitar was a 74' Mocha and they're hard to find. I bought the original for 250 in 1983 from a pawnshop and later had to give it away for 150 bucks when I got hard up (we've all been there).
Anyway, I found this one a while back and it had been floyded and had a recessed rout so I got it real cheap. The pups were gone, and it also was routed for a battery within the spring compartment. LOL. Since it had the Floyd (a real Schaller) I dropped some old Anderson/Schecters (the oldest ones I've ever seen) from the 70's in it. That thing nails the Blackmore Rainbow-era sound (say 75-83) from hell IF you can get the amp cranked up enough (you can use a high gain amp or hotplate, etc., and I also keep the JMP just for this guitar and also my old Hamers because the Hamers are are too thick for the JCM800 without major setting adjustments on the amp). That Strat was just fitted with an real old solid rosewood "strat" neck but with a small headstock. At the moment there is no locknut while I figure out if I like the neck. There is a lot to explain about that guitar but I didn't want to put up a "wall of text" longer than what i've already done. If you're really interested shoot me a pm and I'll explain what the details because it solidly kicks ass.Last edited by 85 San Dimas; 03-01-2009, 03:02 AM.Why the hell doesn't Eddie pick up a goddamned guitar and play something?
