I've been posting awhile so I thought I post up some family photos. I love and cherish "every one". Some would say I collect but I don't. If I buy it and don't like it I sell it, I just love having fun stuff to play.

Not really all Jacksons..the two Soloists and the Rhoads are all 85's but..its my 80's stuff for the most part. A couple of things have been sold and a few things bought since the pic was taken. The 74 strat in the foreground is loaded with 70's Anderson/Schecter pickups and Black original Schaller Floyd. Sounds great. I recently acquired another old Hamer and also the ESP (not LTD) Sunburst Tiger. The Charvel 375 as bought for a song back in 91, and the '08 Wayne (between the soloists was 1100 bucks plus shipping new last spring. it's flat black notro, vint trem, and a JB.

My current project is the Ibanez "Korina" Destroyer in the center back. Someone put a Floyd on it, but it's real, and it's mean. I have several Gibbys and finally got a 335, but I don't have many pics of the "Dad" guitars I have. These were accumlated over the last 20 years many I've had that long. I did this mostly so you could see what I was into and what my point of reference in posting is. I've enjoyed looking at yours these months as well, and enjoy the forum. You're great guys.

that came from Hewgley's Music in Knoxville, Tn,. Spring 1985. went to UT Knoxville and my brother and I had to take some student loan money, and an original NJ BC Rich Mockingbird to get that thing. it's the set neck and man it's the fastest, sickest low action guitar I've ever played. The LP Custom and the Jacksons are close, but those Ibanez guys built a helluva guitar. it has the pro-rocker trem and people make fun of them, but they don't go out of tune.

Really narrow neck,maybe slightly narrower than the Swans (at least it seems like it).
If you want "THE" 80's rhythm guitar sound this is it - I keep it just for recording 80's hair metal rhythm parts (especially with the Badass)

One funny thing: You cannot play the V220 if you have ANYTHING in your pants pocket (that long lower horn will drive your keys through your fibula-it hurts like hell). Definitely for leather or spandex pants. LOL

I appreciate the comments guys..remember though this is over 20 years of accumulation, so it isn't like I just dropped 15-20K or anything.

The Swan is a great playing guitar and I really like the Mahogany. It is a little weird having that "middle" pickup but that's part of what makes it different. The lightning came out of a Pawnshop for about $150 years ago.

The Blackmore Strat is fun, but I want to build a real one instead. I have an extra MIJ Blackmore neck, and I have the Schecter pickups (I try and collect those pickups). I just need the right body. I never was a big Gibson guy but there are some things they do well.

What I'd love to have is a Guild Bladerunner. That would be cool.

oh yeah, the worn TV yellow. That's just an '03 Yellow agathis "Melody Maker" model. It has the "good" P90 in it. I bought that for my 10 year old son for about 300 dollars. It does have an upgraded pickguard (tortoise) on it. But I thought a 10 year old might break a neck anyway. It roars a lot better than I would have expected, but I thought a set neck Gibson to learn for 3 bills to learn on? I can live w/ that.
