i cant seem to find the USA imperials in the Kramer site?

But in the choice between the Barettas,the 84 seems cooler with the maple fretboard,but the 85 is solid maple which is interesting...

Don't know if the Imperial will ever be listed... It was pretty limited when they built them, and from what I've been told by a Kramer dealer, the last ones have been sent out to to the dealers to sell... Check out Tomi O music, RT1 or Exton music. They have a few, Trans red, Trans blue, Trans amber and the Metallic black like mine Or check ebay, all the above listed dealers have a few on there as well.

The 84/85 RI's are pretty sweet... The 85 being maple, is a copy of the 83-85 Baretta, they had a maple body. I don't really know why Kramer didn't go maple on the 84 other than the fact that the guitar was really a Pacer special back when it was built for Ed, basically the Baretta came after the 84, so that is probably why the diff in wood... The Pacer would have been Poplar back then

I got a strat 22 fret neck from FRANKENSTRATs DUNGEON and it is fat and awesome!

On the Mighty Mite body it feels like I'm playing a P-Bass.

I have a Frankenstrat neck on my VH1 copy... It's by far the thickest neck of all my guitars
The Peavey necks are great... To me anyway...
As far as the Asymmetrical profile :think: My Wolfgang is supposed to be, but as far as being obvious, it's not... It is a great playing neck, fairly thick... A lot like the Kramer Beak neck to me

the hamer diablos werent all that thick if i remember them correctly...similar to the centaura neck...a little beefy but still extremely comfortable...d.m.

If it's got a 1 5/8" nut, it'll probably be a little too cramped for his liking if he's got longer fingers/bigger hands. Jacksons and most other manufacturers use 1 11/16" as standard.

my Squier strat has a pretty chunky fat neck that is a lot of fun to jam on. No where near as thin as my Charvels, and pretty damn near on par with my Agile Les Pauls.

I have pretty large hands... Like Paul Gilbert, long, but not thick (wish I played like him) and the R2 hasn't been to much of an issue. I will say though that the R3 on my Charvel is nice. I think the big reason I like the R2 is more due to the fact that most guitars with a 1 5/8 nut have a thicker neck...
The two Jackson's I've had with the 1 11/16 nut have had a really skinny neck... Same with the Ibanez's that I've owned... The skinny profile makes my hand cramp up I don't have this problem on a thicker neck... Strange I know
You might want to check out the new Charvel production models.... The neck is really great Not to skinny, but not like a baseball bat either. Slighty thinner than my Imperial or the Wolfgang

That is true, the thinner necks do tend to make your hands cramp up more. My hands are on the smaller side, but I prefer thicker necks.
Hamer did a study in one of their newsletters in the mid '90s about how a thicker neck tends to give your hand a more natural grip as opposed to thinner.
As for the nut, the 1 11/16" is usually what I prefer, but I've got two Hamer Specials with 1 5/8" that are also comfortable; though, I do feel a difference and a tiny bit cramped on space when I haven't played them for awhile.

what about the Gary Kramer Crusaders? the deluxe is a alder body with original non recessed floyd and looks good,anyone has any feedback?

i thought the neck on the production charvels is like a fender strat neck?
