  • Hot-rodding my ESP eclipse.

Well I was at this scale modeling shop today when I saw these stickers that go on motorcycle helmets and among those were these tribal hot-rod flames and I figured they would look bad ass on one of my guitars.

And I'll be damned, they DO.

Is that real play wear on the finish or was that one of those reliced ones? Oh, and the stickers are just ok for me.

It's a relic, here's the way it looked before the stickers.

I think the stickers should go. I remember I had a guitar I would put stickers on then take them off a month or two later because I realized they looked like crap.

Stickers like that should remain on home made strat style franken guitars not set neck higher end guitars IMO.

Agreed. Stickers are fine on certain guitars, like my day-glo orange Charvette with the MELVINS sticker on it, but generally stickers look bad.

It is such a cool guitar and IMO the stickers take away its coolness.
                Just one more guitar!

I'm agreeing with the peanut gallery. Looks better without the stickers.

That being said, if your going to do a ZZ Top tribute thing, then the flames would provide just enough tackiness for the job. Don't forget to wear your cheap sunglasses!

+1 to what everyone else said. I think it's much nicer looking without the flames.
