I was thinking of getting one of them to keep in Eb as a backup for my Charvel Mod 4. I'm quite interested in the single hum model.

Anyone had a shot of either, got any opinions?

I have the red Gunslinger- it's an awesome guitar for the money, very comfortable neck, nice & wide. It's the best guitar BC rich has put out at that price point in years, hopefully they'll do some more finish options in future.
The bridge is a DiMarzio Super Distortion, I don't actually know what the neck pup is! The Floyd stays in tune well, once I had put new strings on & set it up the way I like it. My other guitar has been extensively modified, this one I'm keeping stock 'cause it's great as is....some pics.

I dig the paintjob on your case!

What is the kanji which is covered by the headstock?

      Is it "祖"?

I'd love one of those 'Slinger Retros, but unfortunately, I'm not in a position to get one at the moment.

          However, I do have its mahogany body, rosewood fretboard, EMG pickup equipped cousin;

My Power Gunslinger has become one of my favourites to play these days. It felt perfect for me right out of the box.

I heard say that the OFR's are manufactured in China on these price point MIK 'Rich's, but I assure you; this sucker is putting up with all of my horrible KK Downing and Hendrix impressions and then some!

It seems well built and for a non domestically made axe, it seems a quality piece that'll last for years and take anything you can dish out for gigs.

Obviously, with the Mahogany body, rosewood fretboard and EMG's, I can't give you a sound review, but I'm sure with the Retro's Dimarzio, alder body and maple fretboard, it'll have much more bite and zest then my Power. However, my Power 'Slinger sounds mighty fuckin' awesome!

I think JCF member, Alvin Wilson has a Retro Blade as pictured above. Just do a search.

              Cheers for the feedback guys!

I was in a store today, only managed a look as i was pushed for time. I'll be going back in tomorrow to have a shot.
Also thinking of a nice DK2M i saw, might be one of those tough decision making moments. Haven't played either before so i'll be going with the one that feels best for me.

Chester, that Retro Blade is saweet! Really diggin' the colour! I think it's a "The Chopper" in the neck.

GinSonic, that power just looks like a propper balls-to-the-walls machine, man!

I've got the yellow one pup model and I really dig it. I mean with the stock pups and the OFR how can you go wrong?

                I'll post pics later.
