wiring question

hi i have this dean flying v with a locking trem everytime i plug it in it sound's horrible is got a dimebucker in the bridge
i was thinking it might be the pots i think their 250 the small ones could it be them or did the guy at the shop jus do a shit job at rewiring it?

A quick way to figure out if you don't like the sound of the pots is to wire the pickup directly to the output jack and see if you like it like that. Generally, you want a 500K volume pot with a hummer.
