Honestly, what the difference between Gibson and Epiphone?

Sounds to me that you choose to buy more EXPENSIVE guitars because you can afford them. The fact that you are a clueless dumbfuck that, through your comments, made hints at my inexperience and treated me like some kid says it all. and by the way, I have NO pining for a Gibson. I have a Burny Les Paul Custom that I absolutely adore, and will never part with, that solves my LP fix just fine. You just continue to blindly shell out extra bucks, cause it sounds like it helps you sleep at night.

ive had a gibson sg standard, an epiphone les paul standard, and a epiphone les paul special 2. i miss the sg. the epi's were decent though. ill eventualy get another gibson sg. buddy of mine has a gibson les paul studio. i dont like it at all. feels like crap, the neck is extreamly fat n the pickups sound like tin cans. might just be a crappy one though?

That's a big part of what I'm getting at. If Gibson still had the tight quality control they were once known for, then I could see the difference in price. But I've been hearing otherwise for a while now.

Up until just recently, I owned fourteen Gibsons and most of them were Les Pauls. Only one guitar had a QC issue. I'll take those odds any day of the week. Be careful accepting what you hear versus what you actually see.
