Those turned out pretty nice. I like the PRS style one.

How much is the class? Theres a guy in NJ that gives that type of class where you build your own. Its a week long and costs about $2k. I would love to do it if i had the week off and the $$.

The classes are 5 days long and cost $1200. We supply all the wood, you bring your electronics, tuners and strings. You go home with a custom electric guitar and all the jigs and patterns that you will create during class.

We will have another class in the fall, and will announce it soon. We can handle no more than 4 students per class.

Thanks guys, Lots of work..This is way tougher than teaching airbrush classes in a lot of ways. Everyone kept their fingers, teaching tool safety is by far my biggest goal and hopefully achievement. The guys built some killer instruments. All of the played fantastic. I am real proud of what them guys did. The class will run again in the fall and we can really not try to crowd more than 4 in the shop and have safety in mind. I will post some pics when they get the guitars done. next time I have class, we may have a guest instructor or two. I'll keep that a surprise.

Man, I'd absolutely love to get into one of those classes. Jackson never makes good enough neck access for me, haha Isn't Mike like the coolest cat ever?!

                    Man, I've sooo many questions.
Were the guitars a 25 1/2 inch scale or could you also do a 24 3/4 shorty?
Restricted to only 6 strings, or could you do a 7 as well?
Standard square 4-hole neck joint or could you laso make something more elaborate?
What woods could you choose from?
Its all fun and games till you get yogurt in your eye.; -AK47
Guitar is my first love, metal my second (wife...ehh she's in there somewhere). -Partial @ Marshall

The guitars were different scales. The neck heels were quite elaborate. I would have chosen for guys to keep things to six string. They chose their neck dimensions.

I kept the wood unform. Alder on all the builds. Maple neck with Ebony boards.

But six is boring, Mike! (these go to eleven, anyone?)

Wow! Looks like a really cool class.

Is full fretboard scalloping possible within the time available during the course?
