  • New additions: Carvin,Washburn, Peavey

Here's a few pics of some of my newest guitars this year so far.

1)Washburn MG-104: USA made, all Duncans, Schaller floyd, quilted maple top, and JUMBO frets. Has a thicker neck than most but still comfortable.

2)Peavey HB Limited: USA made, chambered body with flamed drop top, jumbo frets, Hipshot trem, and great 2+4 position quack. Even tough it has the thickest neck of all my guitars, it's still very comfortable. The tone from the chambered body and top sounds phenomenal even with the stock buckers. Also, the Hipshot trem is the best non-locking I've ever played and the headstock design (functionally not ascetically) is absolutely perfect with recessed locking tuners. This guitar has blown me away.

3)Carvin DC127: USA made, 5 piece Koa/Maple neck, Swamp ash body, perfectly dressed jumbo frets, sperzel locking tuners, and birdseye maple fretboard.

4)Carvin DC127: USA made, active electronics, and Wilkinson trem.

The Carvins have really impressed me as far as quality goes....in every detail.
I'm sorry I waited 20 years to pick one up after all those catalogs I got in the 80's. I'll definitely be acquiring more, even though their pickups aren't really the best at high gain. I have Duncans and Dimarzios waiting for installation so that'll be rectified soon.

Let me know what you guys think.

Currently at 78 guitars - Paul Reed Smith, Jackson, Robin, Washburn, Carvin, Peavey, U.S. Masters, G&L, Hamer, Godin, BC Rich, Yamaha, Fender, ESP, Kramer, Cort, Ibanez, Aria Pro & Charvel

The green Carvin reminds me a lot of my guitarist's blueburst DC127. And the natural reminds me of my DC125. haha

Why'd you get rid of it?

I plan on getting a Limited ST or VT eventually, they're that good......I need another.

            That green Carvin looks sweet.
I just ordered a custom Carvin today! I love the Wilkinson trem.
