I gotta say it looks better than that atrocity they strapped KK Downing to. Man, I've seen some crappy designs, but his V with the trident headstock just reminds me of that polyresin "DevilGirl" guitar they had.

I don't like the headstock, but would have to see it in another angle/paintscheme to make a better determination.

Right now it's like seeing a chick naked and upside down. Can't get an accurate measurement what with the angle messing up my sense of scale.

I always liked Kirk's "spider" guitar - the Les Paul Junior shape with the melody maker headstock and the floyd. Always wanted to make a "green meenie" version of that from Warmoth parts.

make the classic Metallica logo stab points less MASSIVE, switch the death magnetic graphic with Kill em All or Ride..., or Master.., or And Justice..., put some replace the inlays with Jackson sharkies, and swap the headstock with a Jackson 6inline and you'd have quite a guitar.

I got a true Custom shop from ESP of Japan of that guitar. The version they sell in the states was bolt on 24.75 scale and had the wrong headstock shape. It was totally discontinued two years ago because Gibson got upset.

I got a correct neck thru one in 25.5 scale with a custom shop logo and headstock exactley like Kirks down to the correct style floyd nut.

I'd love to check that out one day - that was the one thing that was off putting to me - the Gibson scale - I really prefer "correct" Fender scale!

I used to like Kirk's playing, on Kill 'Em All (mostly trying to play Dave's solos from what I understand), Ride the Lightning, and Master of Puppets.

I dunno, his playing just seems kind of flat and lifeless after that.

I kind of wish he'd come back to Jackson, though. Jackson needs some endorsees to bring the kiddies in and buy up all those cheap Indian Jacksons at Sam Ash so they'll get some new Soloists in.
