Back when I was a terrible noob at guitar, I spent a grand on the Dean Dime Slime. It's not a terrible guitar, just definately not worth the money, and made in Korea to boot.

i wanted to get this as i gt a dk 2 and was gonnaa get a rr3 or a ke 3 but then it will have like the same neck as dk2 i now the rr 3 has 22 but u now the profile so i felt like getting something different

I hear a lot of players that buy the Dime guitars love the way they look but the playability leaves many dis-sastified. They don't have a good re-sale value.
They soon realize they are stuck with a cool looking guitar that doesn't play all that great.

I can't comment on the Deans, I've never played them, but I don't think being Chinese or Korean necessarily means they aren't well-made.

I heard nothing but good things about the Korean made Deans...but is it true that all the Dean stuff is made in China now?

If its made in China I would stay away or try to buy one second hand since the resale value sucks anyways.

Korean Deans are pretty good really but if I were to spend a grand I'd get a used USA one.JMO

I have the USA dean from hell and it's fuckin amazing, the chinese/korean ones are welll....not

save up and get the USA one....

I did a set up on one and not very impressive with the MIC build quality to be honest.
Did a set up on a GL LTD V looking guitar and it was far better a guitar.It actualy is a smoking player.
