    That's pure gold!

I still can't sleep at night, thinking Ed smells like pee. Anyone can confirm this? :ROTF:

Similar thing he did to me...

He burned me really good back in early 93 during the ECMM days.

I was 14 at the time and had saved up for my first "real guitar" so I ordered a ESP customshop and I specified the exact same specs as Kirk Hammett's M2-deluxe, neck thru, EMGs etc, when I tried to get a spec sheet to review he kept telling me not to worry they are going to use Kirk's spec sheet to make my custom. Made me wait over a year and then sent me a regular old bolt on KH2 in the late part of 94.

I paid for a neck thru custom M2 and at the time the US had not received the official KH2s yet. So he yanked me around for close to a year then sent me a regular old KH2 when they just came out. When I called to complain he laughed and said you want neck thru well thats going to be another 1000 dollars. Also sent it in a SKB case and not even a ESP case no tags or anything

Venom's insightful observations are awesome. Hopefully he will be going to NAMM this year and will provide us all with some great reading. BTW when dropping my wife off at work today she pointed out a rather large art professor and went into telling me how this person's BO was awful. She said it was unexplainable as it went beyond normal BO and generally made her and a coworker want to puke. I asked her if it smelt like BO with a hint of pee and she lit up saying "that's it".

Funny, he asked me that exact question once. Or twice.
It's only being polite to ask the name of the person that just foot f**ked ya!

Yeah, personal hygeine doesn't seem to be a strong suit. Last time I saw him at NAMM he had food crumbs / debris all over the front of his shirt. OK, I can understand cuz I'm fat too that one gets crumbs on your shirt but how about a quick flick with the hands, guy?

I'm guessing he has diabetes and other conditions. His ankles are usually wrapped up and so are his calves. Maybe he picks at his skin and eats it?

I purchased a McNaught from him back in 2000, deal went smooth. Man I wish I still had that guitar.

Son of a bitch...I've heard of Ed Roman, but would never have imagined I'd met him...but ECMM and his apparent reputation got me curious so I looked around on the web, and THIS is the son of a bitch that insulted me 25 years ago and told me to get out of his store.

I was 15 at the time and had gone into the ECMM to look around, and asked who I thought was a salesman a question. He laughed, asked if I was stoned, and told me to get out. I never forgot that smug POS and never shopped there either.

So now I know who this guy is...I'd like to treat him like the bitch he is and slap him across his face. If I ever run into him, he's mine. What comes around, goes around.

I stopped by his booth at NAMM in '08 and checked out some guitars there...Ed wasn't there but his wife was, and when she went into hard-sell mode badgering me as I browsed I took off. Nice looking pieces on the surface but I wasn't able to get a close look.

Passed the booth again as I circulated the show floor and he was there, pouring some hard liquor from a pint bottle at the table then trying to hide it away. It was either bourbon, gin or vodka; it's been a while so I don't recall exactly which brand but I got a good look at it at the time and my mouth dropped open. I know people drink and the bars do great business during NAMM but I'd never seen someone drink alcohol at their booth during show hours.
