Custom guitar, day -2

Hey gang, I decided I'm going to take that old beat up Ibanez Gio I bought for $30 and customize it to make it look nice really.

I need some ideas please, the only thing that's going to be mandatory is to paint it. I sanded the neck, the pickups I don't care aboot really, all I want is a neat colour scheme really. I need to sand and paint the pickguard, so that will have to be done as well.

I was thinking satin black body with silver pickguard. Does anybody else have any ideas? I'd probably change mine if I find something I might like.

I vote neon pink/green with orange knobs and pink/green pickups. Matching headstock too.

I had one of those. I liked it. I never used it so I traded it to the music store towards pickups for my strat.

That's hot, I'm trying to not change the pickups, yet I don't want to cover them like EMGs. Unless it's an urban camo style.

Also Ben, whenever I read a post by you, I'm always wearing that Judas Priest T-shirt (Defenders Of Faith I believe), never any other time :P

here's a pickguard i made for my charvel (and a couple other guitars) not quite silver, but you get the idea. on a side note i remember helping a buddy cut a monkeygrip into a gio (no we did not make a fake) just a monkeygrip, single humbucker, single vol. we filled the other routes and hole, it turned out pretty good.9checkerplate there as well

Oh ya I saw that, pretty cool if I say so myself.
I do like the idea of putting a monkeygrip in it, now I'm starting to come up with an idea :P

I want to do a Dinky body with the King Kelly style cutouts and the Randy Rhoads pinstripes shaped just like the RR V. Satin black with dull red pinstripes. Gold hardware.

I think that guitar would be cool with a holo-flash finish. And for pickups it would be cool to see 6 Lipstick PU's- Some examples-
