  • Warmoth neck binding

I was curious if anyone knew if Warmoth binds the headstocks on the jackson necks they do? I know they do the neck portion but I have yet to see the pointy end actually bounded.

i'm going to try and do my Firebird project which will be:

    Firebird body (duh)
    mahogany with quilt maple top
    non-recessed OFR
One humbucker in the bridge position
Reverse jackson headstock neck (Yeah, jackson won't make it so.. Warmoth here I come)
in transparent yellow (maybe a different color but yellow stands out right now)
In the future though I need to remember to not buy guitars while on Nyquil

I think you can get them bound for $100+ more

I know you can get the neck bound, but i have never seen a warmoth neck with headstock binding.

they just emailed me " Neck binding only, no peghead binding."

        that's just unacceptable.

That is correct. Here is what I did with my V2. I had the neck bound, had a quilt maple veneer put on the headstock, then had a matching burst finish put on the headstock. It works with the binding, I think.
