well. One Russian guitarsmith was sooo upset when I got my Custom Dinky so they decided to make a "killer" to kill Jackson.
the terms are:
1. 1/3 of price
2. some technical improvements (one piece body, jackplateless construction, less than five glueings on a headstock, and real hard to explain trick with 3piece neck)
3. blind test and poll on our local forum

so I decided to share with you this funny story.
This saturday the "killer" (or kamikaze?) will be done.

Ok, I understand what you mean now. I guess if you have a 3 piece neck, and you have to add the little extra pieces for the rest of the headstock, you end up with 5. There's nothing wrong with doing it that way though, especially since it's a bolt-on neck anyway. If you really want to get crazy, you could carve the entire body and neck out of one big hunk of wood.

Well, they decided wrong, since a laminated, multi-piece neck will be stronger.

I saw the same shop's version of a Dime Stealth. Cool stuff. And yes, If I could get a cheapo version of a soloist I might bite. But the quality has to be there too. It can't just be the Rondo equivalent of a Jackson, It has to have real quality with a cheaper price.
