  • Ibanez rg 320 fm any good?

The local music store has a NOS rg 320fm in trans amber for $250?
The guitar looks great it has a booked matched flame maple veneer and has what ibanez calls cosmo black hardware.
As usual like 99.9% of off the rack guitars it needs a good setup so i couldn't really judge it's playability that good.
    Anyone know about these RG's?
How is the edge II trem? Fret work any good for getting a low action? I have a duncan mayhem set i will replace the stock powersound pups with.

I have had a quilt top and a flame top. the quilt top the neck at a few frets would always buzz at low action but the flame top had great low action. the trems are really good. The powersound pickups sound better in other guitars. frets are top notch.

I had one. Recplaced the stock bridge PU with a Duncan Full Shred.

It was a decent guitar. I had problems with the trem being 'notchy' and not properly returning to pitch. I checked the knife edges and they weren't in great shape, even though I am not a trem abuser. I did change the height without dropping tension from the strings so that is probably what did it. I learned with that guitar that I don't like recessed trems.

yea thats the RG you posted in the pic.
I think you are right with those floyd licensed trems you have to take off the tension from the bridge post's since they are made from a softer metal than a german made floyd.
How was the action on your rg? Did it buzz a lot?
I will probably buy the rg since it is only $250 and i already have a set of duncans to put in it.
