They were higher priced in Florida at that time too then. I was in school in Miami at the time(1985-1991) and ESP's were quite expensive. I think one thing that hurts this particular M-1 we're talking about is that the pattern isn't quite nice like you see on the Lynch M-1. If it were, you'd see a higher price for a balck/white M-1 like that but still not $1500.Rudy
