This thing is rediculously long, my Charvel bass is 45 inchs this is 51. The bass standing on my toe comes to the middle of my chest. The custom case is probably worth more than one would imagine it's the biggest guitar case you've ever seen. I wont even go into how to strap it on a lefty player.

Cool Ironbird. I had a Bich from the same series, which I modified with EMG pickups, I bought it for 150 Euro, sold it for 200 Euro's and I saw it last week on an auction site for 500 Euro.

          The Bich I owned.

              Updated

Here's the bass in its quiver ...

I started shielding it just gotta do my solder joints ...

I was able to leave the original nut as it's straight pull ... in case I move it down the road ... but left-hand setup

              ...and a giant handle ...

Why don't you re-locate the upper strap button to the point?

It makes for a more comfortable hanging position, it'll be better balanced and there's no chance anymore of it toppling over.

Don't headbang while playing that thing... it might go through your chin!

I just got it blazer, someone else put two holes in it on the right side to try to balance it, I'm just not sure if I want to put more in it, in case I move it on to a right handed player in the future. Currently just got my below in the posts checklist done on it so far. I've gotta go practice some BonJovi now that I have this NJersey sucka' !

NJ = Nagoya, Japan and not New Jersey.

The bridge placement seems like an after-thought..

                          Does it sound OK..??

I can see what you mean there, remeber you're looking at it upside down, if you use a right angled power cord there's actually room to "play around the corner" just above the bridge there. Sound ... it's passive ......... ; } ... use amp effects and it's fine. I think the pups are actually closer to the bridge than on say a Charv 1B, which I think also with the reverse stringing should make it a bit brighter on the high side.

He's referring to the fact that when it came to accomodate the bridge on the bass version of the Ironbird, they had to make a little extension.

                              See what I mean?
