Well guys after deliberation you have me all seeing a point, I'll try to contact him, I'll add him on msn, facebook and if that doesn't work I'll call him the hell up, but if he doesn't respond, accept, or talk to me on the phone and just hangs up, I wont push it on him. Last time I tried reconcileing with him he tried to fight me, unfortunately he's at that age where apparently fights solve things.

Also Sully, settle down it was a Gio, like jrd94 says I would've scrapped the body myself more than likely.

What if I changed the backplate and painted the guitar :P

I also know for a fact that if one of my guitars got stolen, he wouldn't call the cops or notify me. He'd buy it and destroy it. He's tried it.
      You = Douchenozzle. Period.

But thanks for putting it on the internet. Now it's public record. Do the right thing. It'll pay you dividends in karma.

        Doing the right thing hurts.

i think that if you just email the guy with "i found your stolen guitar in a pawn shop, details inside!" in the subject, that'd be helpful.

                    I wish

Just the usual teenage bullshit. I'd always try to reconcile and no matter what he'd just be an asshole and he'd never stop

Doing the right thing isn't always easy. If you tell your local PD what you know (yeah I know...even harder to do) I'm sure he will get his stuff back and more than likely the pawn shop will have to refund your layaway deposit.. Just glad you're trying to do the right thing. I've had hot stuff come through my shop without my knowledge it was hot and lost my ass on it from the PD taking it as evidence... It sucked and yeah I was out $$$ but at least I knew the owner got it back.
As far as the Gio body.. think of it as a learning experience in the art of body repair.

I don't care about the Gio body, just thought somebody would like some comedy, basically an excuse for me to buy a new guitar.

As for the stolen geets that sucks, I'm probably going to go and tell them at CC they're stolen or whatever. If this asswipe doesn't respond to me.

Well I'm talking to him now, he says he works at the place selling it, even though it's been there for a month and a half... He isn't being a dick or anything, he's being a cool guy, said he'd praise me since I found it for him

                              Doing the right thing sucks...

What should I spend $200 on?

*Edit: Kinda a funny message, he wasn't mad at me, he thought I was mad at him, so now we're cool I guess.*

have you contacted the police? Whether you get in touch with the guy or not, some douchebag guitar thieves have pinched someone's instruments & profited by selling them to the pawnbrokers. Next time, it might be your guitar.

Set the police onto them - they can use information provided by the pawnbrokers to nail the little bastards.
                                Hail yesterday
