I wish I could find one of those when I am in the market for a new axe, but they always evade me

      I had a Californian Elite:

Popular is not the same as good
Rare is not the same as valuable
Worth is what someone will pay, not what you want to get

Love the grafitti ESP missed one on ebay a while back.
I had a Chap that had been used for a template for form fitting cases. It had never been finished.
Solid mahogony(no finish) body 1 hum and a floyd.I had to add all the parts but was a killer player.Sounded very open with no finish.
I'll bet thats an awesome Chap good score for sure.
          Really? well screw Mark Twain.

Very nice! Hamers kick ass. I've got a '94 black Special and a '95 Aztec Gold Special FM. Always wanted a Chaparral, Californian or Diablo, and one of these years I'll get one.

I watched a Diablo go for around $650 here last week. Wish I'd had the cash, would had a run at it. That's a damn good price for MIA guitar over here. Plus I just dig the look of a Dia

The Diablos are really cool. I actually prefer them with the reverse headstocks, but the regular ones are neat, too.

I got a Chaparral back in 1990 and I loved it. My brother has it now. He has replaced all the pick ups and redone the finish. Still a great guitar.

It has SD TB4 & SH2 & quarter pound in the middle. The paintwork is original, i toyed with a refinish but so glad i left it! I haven't seen too many like it, it's emerald green & gold - most also have a red tint but not this one

                          Thanks for positive feedback

I've had many Hamers of the years, including an old set neck Chap, standard Californian and a Diablo. They really were great shredders. The Californians always seem to get the most attention, with the Chaps coming in second. But I'll tell you, that Diablo was an amazing workhorse guitar. I'd put it up against any other superstrat out there. I wouldn't mind getting another one of those someday.

Found a couple old pics of some Hamers I had a few years back. The Californian, Diablo, and Joe's Special Fm are no longer with me.

Here's a closeup of the Diablo. Killer guitar.

A much older group shot. My old stripped down Chap is on the far right. Good guitar, but I sold it at the time because I wasn't a big fan of the small frets. Sometimes I wish I hadn't sold it...

Closeup of my old Californian. I sold it way too cheap to fund a 78 Hamer Sunburst. Oh well...
