  • musicyo kramer

I was perusing the local pawn shop and noticed a neck through kramer hanging on the wall the other day. After inspecting it I new it was not an older model but didn't know what it was. It was neck through with a licensed floyd and quad rails pickups. They said they had it for a while and to make an offer so I did and they took it. I normally don't buy guitars without knowing what they are but it was neck through and played fairly well so I figured it was worth the risk and would make a good project guitar. After I got home it looks to be a musicyo kramer fx404. I didn't even realize somebody had brought back the brand, it's not what I remember my old ones playing like but it's a decent model for the price point.

Yeah - Gibson's been putting out Kramers over the past few years. The ones that are "like the old ones" are the 1984 Barettas and I think the Focus RI - check ebay for "Kramer Reissue."

FOr a while I was really interested in the Rhoads type V they make when it was neck thru. Now it is only a bolt on so my interest has waned a bit.
