  • Acoustic guitar reccomendations

Taking a Classical Guitar class at a local community college to help put some theory behind my playing

Only requirement is an acoustic guitar, I like the wide flat necks of most nylon string classical guitars, do they make something like this in a steel string version?

    or

Anything for a player who is interested in a "slim" body, big fret, low action acoustic with a cut-away for a $500-750 pricepoint????

    Godin Multiacs

Was just looking at their site because of my "classical recommendation" thread

Take your pick of nylon or steel string.

LaPatrie Presentation. Made by Godin I think (mine has Godin electronics).

You'll find nylons are easier to fret than steel, and most nylons have steel-wound strings anyway (or at least something similar in tone and feel to steel).
The only "plastic" strings are the 1 and 2, the rest are wrapped.

Hate to go the Ibanez route but they make a pretty nice one for not alot of cash and it has a pickup in if you wanna amplify it. I took classical guitar in college and hated the class but liked playing the guitar. They have a real mellow sound that you can't get anywhere else.
        It's pronounced soops
