  • Anyone able to tell me about this one?

Had this a bit but really want to know more. Its not plywood, its kinda a westone maybe? Gorgeous top and insane output. Archtop, MOP not moto lettering on the headstock, 1 piece headstock amazed that it doesnt look like a puzzle piece, Booster and tap thing has more additions than a freakin import racer.

Has a dial for varying degrees of distortion built into it

Seems a lot like a WestonE Villian.

The output on the pickups is unreal, im talking screaming highs.

    Some sort of Floyd knockoff.

Says Weston instead of Westone though its the same logo. Is this an old knockoff of some sort?

Plays great its like a schecter C-1 met a jackson Dkmg met a Jem

Heres a few pics the shots show scratches I cant see in life lol

I want to depart this world the same way I arrived; screaming and covered in someone else's blood

It might not necessarily be a fake. After the Matsumoku plant shut down, many of the brand names that were built there either disappeared altogether, or were sold off, and all kinds of weird stuff appeared, most of it made in Korea (this was before Korea made good guitars) or China. By the late 80s guitar production in Japan was becoming more expensive due to labor costs. It wouldn't surprise me at all if Weston wasn't a lower end Korean or Chinese made brand akin to Charvette. This is pure speculation though.

I got the bar that you sent, with the guitar, but the collar on the trem was broken, im not going to swet the fifteen bucks it cost me man, im greatful for the guitar, already have had a new pup installed, need to have the frets dressed and the action set, the frets a TOTALLY jacked and gouged up, may have to refret,

either way ill be very happy with it when i get done with it

I knew you got the bar just totally forgot about the collar. I used it that way and never had an issue but meant to mention it in the ad and totally spaced it. As long as your happy then shred on but I would gladly paypal ya the 15

That control cavity cover reminds me of ESPee.

I'd say mid-late 80s - Kramer-beakish headstock, separate cavity for....batteries...? Logoed pickups and offset dots says mid-90s, though (at least going by Jackson specs, which they seem to be trying to copy there).
