Bit the bullet and got one of these new sight unseen or unplayed Again my research ahead of time paid off, since I haven't put this down in the past 2 weeks except to sleep, eat, and go to work to pay for this unit.
I couldn't find one of these anywhere except for a few dealers. I got this guy from a CS dealer in PA. There is not much information on the internet on these except in Robin Trower's own words in videos. I've been a fan for years of the man and his music. I'll only get a Sig. guitar if I like the specs. and this one has them. As with most Custom Shop guitars this one plays flawlessly with it's vintage "C" shaped neck with Abalone inlays. The Sperzel tuners keep the vintage bridge in check. I was never a fan of red finishes, but this Wineburst is awesome. The pups are a CS '54 in the neck, a CS 60's in the middle and a CS Texas Special in the bridge. A nice combination, Mr. Trower!
I just plug into my pedals Fulltone Clyde Wah, into the Fulltone Deja-Vibe, then out through the Fulltone RTO and bam, "Bridge of Sighs", and "Day of The Eagle", "Too Rolling Stoned", etc. is all there
