Actually, that guitar looks cool.

I'm not dis'ing the Burst replicas because original Bursts were a very finite number. But, the fender parts mutts and this 70's LP reissues are kinda silly IMO. Though I thought Randy's white one was an anniversary model back then.

So we are going to see a reissue of a 25th anniversary LPC. That makes my head hurt.

Then again, I had wanted a Sykes LP, so I know I'm one of the suckers out there.

The black LPC was a '59 that Randy picked up on the road not long before he died...it was never used live. Perhaps his coolest looking guitar IMO.

I'm not positive, but IIRC the neck and middle were stock PAFs and the bridge was a Dimarzio Super Distortion.

There should be another aspect to the Rhoads signature model....that is that you aren't allowed to buy one for yourself. Someone gave Randy that white Les Paul, so in keeping things authentic, you can only buy one for someone else or be given one.

Yeah, he just played their guitars, but he was never endorsed by them. They just used his name as someone who used their guitars, which was pretty shitty. The company seemed to do that with a lot of people who were seen just playing them and having no real relationship with them.

I had heard that the one pic that is out there of him playing a Dean (are there any more pics) was when he sat in with another band...it wasn't his. Not sure if that's true or not.
