I don't have a picture but it is incredibly close. The King Kobra was a star with points and bevels, essentially what you posted.

comparison to the original Pointy Stars...

Those are called Kelly Stars... half Rhoads, half Kelly.

And Oz Fox from Stryper already had a pointy Charvel Star in the '80s, as well as a pointy Explorer.

lol yea sorry dude that looks pretty much identical to the King Kobra IMHO. nice idea, but sadly someone else came up with it before ya

I like many of the extreme shapes, including the normal star shape, but the King Kobra and the Kelly Star are a bit TOO extreme for my taste.

I totally forgot about the King Kobra and was about to say it looks like a Fastar (those pointy-ass Dan Fastuca thingies...), what was the difference there again?

Ok, I've got it straight now but still, IMO I say my photoshopped design does look much more proportionally balanced in comparison to the original pointy Charvel Star and Jackson King Kobra with those nice bevels and all (that's only my opinion).

Its the nice 'n' defined bevels on my design that really balance it out I think.

Don't get me wrong though, the originals look great aswell from what I can see in those few pictures posted above.

I also thought it looks like a Fastar, but the Fastar is bigger and with more radical horns/wings/whatever.
I like your design, and agree it looks better overall than the King Cobra. Very nice photoshop skillz too!
