Why is this in the Jackson section if your getting it built by another guitar manufacturer..

And it's a cutnshut of exsisting shapes with some slight mods the Dean style bevels suck along with the Rosewood......

The BCR Ironbird looks better imo and they still have a production model..

Not to knock Jackson but why would I pay $6000 for something I can get built for 3 or 4 Grand by another CS that can and will built it with the same Quality.

Once again, don't get me wrong, Jackson builds great Custom Shop geets but in reality it really just comes down to ca$h, I can personally live with out the Jackson logo.

Just being brutally honest, I'm not trying to knock Jackson in any way here.

You can EASILY have that built by Jackson for under 3-4k, just call a dealer that´s actually worth the title (like those in teh "dealers" section of the board) and get a quote done instead of shopping at MF and other ripoff places that charge MAP or more

Oye. I like the shape. Not sure I'd get one, but it looks cool. Looks like the "waist" of the body was pulled in tighter than the King Cobra, which I think makes it look a bit cleaner.

I do however think it's REALLY messed up that someone went into the future, stole this new idea, and returned to the past to create it before you could. Some people are just ruthless.

I really don't understand these "I have an idea that's UBER" threads.... If you feel strongly about it, build the guitar, then post the final version. I CAN understand someone asking, "Do you think this layout would look like dogcrap IRL?" or something around those lines, but flat out boostering for something that doesn't even exist and probably never will, and then getting PISSED at people for not agreeing just seems....stupid.

I have many, many hare brained ideas. But we're just shooting the crap here- There is no "Dark Star". There likely never will be. How upset can you get about it?

Plus, if you're going to dramatically put your stuff out there, be ready for the honesty- You'll reap the good with a smile- Try to do the same with the bad.

The good- Cool take on an old design.

I think the shape is terrific. If I had the extra spend, I'd have called Nick to get one built last week. Can't see why it could not be done.
