I went to Guitar Center yesterday and tried out a few guitars including Gibson's 50th Anniversary 1958 Flying V. I will admit that it played very well and sounded incredible. However, the $8,500.00 price tag is absurd. The guy at GC told me that it's been there for a long time and that he could take off $800.00 if I took it today. No thanks! Who is ever going to shell out that kind of money for a guitar that will probably never go up in value? I'm sure Gibson will be making a 55th anniversary and a 60th anniversary which will devalue all of these overpriced wallhangers.
Gibson's prices get more insane every day!
