  • PRS with Floyd

Never really seen a PRS with a Floyd before but this one seemed interesting. Owner had installed the floyd along with a d-tuna and did his own relic job to it. It might not look like a PRS anymore but it still plays well. Tone Zone in the bridge but nothing in the neck, just a single pickup wiring job. All in all this is a solid guitar that I really don't have to worry about it getting banged up or the kids getting dirty hands all over it.

PRS with Floyd Rose & D-tuna reliced by previous owner.

Stupid question but how to you post the pictures as actual images instead of links again? Something with img in front of the link right?

Wow that is one bad relic job sorry.Find an OFR and upgrade that right off.
Why oh why did he route the body? PRS's have a neck angle no need to route the body at all.
Funny how people think relicing means take sand paper and go to town.FAIL.
It would be a good refin project tho'.
Probably a fantastic player worthy of a refin.
    Really? well screw Mark Twain.

The relic job looks like total shit. You'd think he could have at least put in a real Floyd, too. On the bright side, at least it's an import PRS and he didn't fuck up a USA model.
I feel my soul go cold... only the dead are smiling.

yeah, after the pics, no shit. i think a real archtop PRS would be killer with a floyd. i would LOVE to be able to afford one like the one matt has in stock with the 5-way switch bit with a factory floyd....BUT i can't afford a private stock guitar!!!!
        GEAR:

some guitars...WITH STRINGS!!!! most of them have those sticks like on guitar hero....AWESOME!!!!

some amps...they have some glowing bottle like things in them...i think my amps do that modelling thing....COOL, huh?!?!?!

        and finally....

i have those little plastic "chips" used to hit the strings...WHOA!!!!

          Man, that looks awesome!

          Just kidding.

Why do people "relic" guitars like this? Are we supposed to believe that the volume knob has been turned so many times that it wore clear down to the wood there?

I hope the bridge is sort of at least kind of near the right place and maybe even almost straight.

So far the guitar plays fine, I haven't had any issues yet. Stays in tune great and no dead spots on the neck anywhere. One day I might take the time to repaint it and clean it up right but for now it's ok by me. Another project guitar to work on down the road along with the other two waiting to be finish.
