Ok, so I buy a heavily modified 1978 Les Paul "55". Gibson tells me it's modeled after the 1955 flat top. Here's the scoop: Bad backyard paintjob, tuners swapped for Grovers, Badass tailpiece swapped for a Gibson fine tuning tailpiece, bridge P-90 swapped for Dimarzio X2N w/coil tap switch.
After cleaning it up and putting on new strings, it hasn't gone out of tune for a week and I can't put it down once I pick it up !! This is one of the best Les Paul's I've ever played.
Now I'm thinking of having it stripped and repainted but I don't have the fundage right now. All in all, I am VERY pleased with it. Behold !!!
