  • 1984 Charvel Jackson

Would I be right to assume that a 84 Charvel Jackson with Floyd is a steal for $350 even though it is a bolt on with pretty good wear?

If it says Charvel Jackson on the end, it's not from 1984.
Popular is not the same as good
Rare is not the same as valuable
Worth is what someone will pay, not what you want to get

It just says Charvel on the headstock

It's supposed to be Charvel San Dimas, the seller posted the 84 price scan with it so thats what it is unless he is lying.
edit: I guess I should of posted in the Charvel section, sorry.

It looks like a Charvel Fusion Deluxe to me . Which would make it a 90-92 . It is also a shortscale 24.75 . It is a good guitar but it would have to be cleaner than the pictures to get me to pay $350.00 .

...and the recessed floyd? and the 6 on a side logo? hmmmm.
Tree fitty looks a lot like about a c-note high (right now)...lot of that stuff around.

They're good, but the man told you...it could be cleaner. No real reason to buy it unless it just speaks to you, and if so then by all means get it as reasonable as you can. Good luck.
Why the hell doesn't Eddie pick up a goddamned guitar and play something?

and in the Import Charvel at that.

As the others have stated, good guitar, worth $350 if you feel it's worth that much, made in Japan between 89-91

the guy may not be lying, but he's certainly wrong

                  Blech

                  JUNK.

If you live in a cold climate, then maybe for $20 it might make decent firewood...

I wouldn't allow it to take up any space in my home.
Kahler...Killing guitar values DEAD since 1981.

                    He's lying... it's a 90/91 Fusion Deluxe.
Charvel started using the toothpaste logo in 1989.

I think you are going a little far. For the "correct price" of $250 with case, look at what you are getting - short scale neck, JT-590 trem, solid build quality and playability. Compare that to some of the newer offerings at the same price with case.

There's a nice Jackson on Ebay for about $400. Seller is andy_cain. There's also a USA Soloist on the 'bay for about $900.

They are great guitar but that one looks a little rough to me. I own one and love it to death. I got mine for 250 shipped with case and it's damn near mint, and it has a maple fretboard on it too.
                              It's pronounced soops
