Ever have a guitar and just know its the "one"?
I've played a whole mess of really expensive high end guitars. Yep they played really good. Looked really good too. Would love to own at least one someday.......but this one here is just plain unbeatable. I will never let this guitar go. I beat the hell out of it when I play it (almost fully recovered from surgery so now I can ) and it is a guitar that just seems to ask for more. Make it scream it begs. So, that's what I do. Just put it through its paces and haven't wiped her down yet.
Stock elctronics. Stock tuners and strap buttons. Candy red paint sanded off to the bare wood, then stained with MINWAX and tung oiled. Neck satin finish sanded off and then tung oiled. Stock Kahler 2500 trem swapped out for a Kahler 2700. Had a chrome one on there, but found a black one on the bay, cleaned it up and then touched the whole thing up with a Sharpie (baked it after hitting it with the Sharpie). I've used the Sharpie method on a JT-6 and that thing came out brand new looking...so does this Kahler now!!!
Love that Kahler 2700!!!
It just plain NAILS the Lynch Mob Wicked sensation tones. Rips out some Ratt tunes like Wanted Man and Lay it down pretty damn close to the original tone (to my ears :lol) as well. These mid 80's Jackson pickups are no fuckin joke. I love em. They definitely got these things right!! Anyone that wants to off their old Jackson USA pickups send me a PM. I don't think that there's a pup out there that nails the 80's metal tone as well as these things.
