  • Photos of new locking nut on old Model series?

I just purchased a beautiful Model 3 and it's a fantastic guitar! The only complaint is the tremolo, of course. I really dislike the JT-6 and will soon replace it with a Gotoh, Ping or OFR.

My only concern is the locking device at the nut. Of course, I have a behind-the-nut contraption, and would like to replace it with a modern Floyd locking nut. I know this has been done as I've seen it mentioned here. But does anyone have any pictures?

I'm guessing that two of the screw holes from the old locking device would be exposed. Is that true? Any pictures and/or information would be much appreciated.

    Thanks!

The after the nut lock, although not as clean looking as a newer style Floyd locking nut should work. I don't think you would have enough room at the end of the fret board to put a newer style in.
I want to go out nice and peaceful in my sleep like my grandfather, not screaming and hollering like the passengers in his car.

It HAS an after the nut lock. What do you mean there wouldn't be enough room?

Nice! That is exactly what I was looking for. So it needed a shelf, huh? I'm surprised. I thought it the OFR nut would fit in perfectly once the original nut was taken out and some wood removed.
