An OFR will drop right in on the JT-6 posts. The spacing is the same.
Just get one with a 42mm block.

You can even replace the JT-6 trem posts with more "Floyd Friendly" ones.
You can get them from Dave (Budman) here.

About a quarter of the way down the page... can't miss them.
And you only need to get the posts... the threads match the existing JT-6 inserts.

good info!! (again) Yeah, Ive done biz with Fretsonthenet over the years. GREAT guy!!! Been awhile tho..

Be awhile before I trem swap.. I want to replace the one on my Kramer Bluesbreaker first.. (Japanese release of the Stagemaster) someone harvested the OFR off of it.. The Jt6s dont bother me, but I will prob change it just for the big block mod.. Do you know if the big blocks fit on the jt6s??

The 5FX only 350 were made they were 5A originally. They (5FX) are rarer then 5A's.

Received her today! Best I can tell, she is a MONSTER!! Neck is better feeling than I expected, the sustain is awesome! Drawback is: it was professionally set up before shipping to me. The frets are pristine.. I say drawback tho because every professionally set up guitar Ive ever had, the action is so low, it frets out at the high frets when I pick.. I must have a heavy hand or something.. I once played the $15,000 EVH replica and had the same problem. So, tonight when I get home from work, Im gonna raise the action and hopefully, will be amazing then!

Case is missing a latch and one is cracked and one of the back hinges is coming out, so will have to replace the case.

The guitar has a couple of booboos. 2 small one line scratches (not thru paint). one little dimple by the trem post and one paint crack ding (about the size of the push button on a retractible ink pen. And the one that bothers me most is that the finish is chipped of the tip of the headstock.. (no wood missing)
Not bad for 21 years at all.. But Im very nit picky..

If it's a jt-6 remove string tension before changing the bridge height. When I was young and dumb I changed the height on mine without loosening things up first and i dulled the knife edges doing it. They are not the toughest metal.

thanks for the tip! I normally do that, but Im tired and a bit anxious to play it, so I may have rushed it..

I didnt realize from looking at the pictures, the locking nut has the push down "flaps"

I like the design of the JT-6, but the crappy pot metal they were made from does terrible things to the tone. The design is actually better than the Original Floyd Rose in several ways.

So far, Im wicked impressed with the guitar.. If I really gel with it, I figure maybe I should look into swapping for an orig floyd and a big block..??

HOLY MOLY!! This thing is a beast! I raised the trem a half turn on each side and the fretting out is gone, the action is still about the lowest of any of my axes.. So natch, it plays super easy and sustains like an LP.. The neck is a tad bit wider than I prefer, but I can adapt pretty easy. Its still early to say for sure as its the honeymoon, but this could be my main player.. Only thing that would make it perfect would be if it was black cherry, cuz I always wanted one in black cherry.

Jury is still out on the X2N that came in it tho. I love it at lower volumes, but wasnt as good cranked..
