  • Model 4 wiring diagram???

    Man i cannot figure these stupid actives out in my model 4!! Ive seen people running duncan 'buckers with the factory 2 s/cs, but i cant figure out how to do it. can i replace just the bridge pickup? also another place told me that the p/us arent active, that theres a tone circuit in there that is. whats the deal? how do i take that out if its true? I hate 9 volts!!

    It's true, it's not active. It's just a mid-boost. I personally wouldn't ever muck with my Model 4 at all, I love her just the way she is.

      well is there a way to get rid of the mid boost circuit? i just dont dig replacing batteries.

        just take out the circuit and all belonging cables and solder the PUs just like any other passive PU and everything should work.
        but honestly; I never messed with the JE1200 midboost, but the guitars I have with JE1000 need a new battery maybe once or twice a year. it's not like you have to change it every week. they got plenty of playtime as long as you unplug them after playing.
